We all know that Barney Frank was “close” with a Fannie Mae exec back in the 90’s.  In fact, the exec was partially responsible for coming up with some of the programs that led to Fannie’s demise.  Frank should have recused himself from the Banking Committee, but he didn’t.  Most have admitted the Dems have at least some culpability in this whole mess.  Even Bill Clinton and Alec “I’m moving to Canada” Baldwin admit it.

So what do the Dems do?  They pull out the race card.  Frank is calling Republicans racist for even suggesting that Democrats are somewhat responsible for our financial mess in order to deflect away from his own responsibility.  That’s a convenient modus operandi for Democrats now that they have an African-American at the top of their ticket. 

Frank has even gone so far as to put three reports blaming the Republicans for this mess on the FRONT PAGE of the House Committee on Financial Services (the committee he chairs) web page.  A tax-payer funded web page.  Eh, I could probably handle it on his own personal tax-funded member page, but not on the committee page, which has members from both party.
