Big Bad Wolf
On “America’s Newsroom” this morning on FNC, Megyn Kelly was interviewing Howard Wolfson and Mike Huckabee. The topic was the “spread the wealth” comment from Obama to Joe the Plumber. Kelly asked Wolfson about Obama’s comment and if it hurt him, and Wolfson went off on Joe. He said his name isn’t Joe, and that he isn’t a plumber!
Kelly started asking Wolfson, “What does that matter?” She had to become more forceful with it when Wolfson brought up MORE of the smears. She eventually tossed it to Huckabee, who corrected the record about wanting to BUY the business that made $250K, not that he was making that much. Huckabee was making the point about other small businesses having to lay off people if taxes go up, and Wolfson asked Huckabee if Joe would get a bigger tax break under Obama’s plan or McCain’s plan. I couldn’t watch any more.
As usual, the Dems just don’t get it! Some people care about the FUTURE. Why should Joe invest in a small business in the near future if the taxes are going to make him no better off than he is now AND he will be working harder? What incentive is there to work harder when you’re better off right where you are and someone else is working harder to pay the taxes that allow you to do better?
THAT was the point of Joe. He didn’t CARE (as most of us don’t – I would certainly get more money under Obama’s plan) about his place NOW. He wants to invest IN THE FUTURE in a business to create jobs, and Obama’s plan will prevent that from happening.
If I get the video, I will post it.
