If the Democrats make a clean, wide sweep of these elections, the Democrats will dominate politics in America for a long time to come. They will make SURE of it.
First, Obama has spelled out his excess capital confiscation “spread the wealth” plan, oops, I mean tax plan. That, right there, should scare everyone. He openly ADMITTED it, and still, people want to vote for him so they can get their piece of the pie. To make it more fair, of course. That will leave less money at the top for, say, job creation, but also political contributions.
Then, the pet project of Congress is Card Check. That will repopulate the union rolls, which puts more dues money in their coffers and allows them to monetarily support Democrats. This also will essentially force transfer of wealth from corporations to the workers, initially, because of expensive union contracts and rules. Eventually, these costs will be passed to the consumer.
Then, Nancy Pelosi has voiced that she wants to bring back the Fairness Doctrine, which would essentially silence much of the conservative opposition voices that are on talk radio. (I wonder if she would apply it to television the networks, seeing as NBC, ABC, and CBS have NO bias whatsoever, heh!)
All together this would transfer power to the Democrats in an unprecedented way. Some would say this would transfer power from the rich to the regular folks. Think again. The rich would still be in power — lawyers and unions — and they would keep the regular folks “under control” by making them think they are happy with their better wages through union contracts and extra-large tax rebates each year.
And don’t forget all the new citizens we will have once they legalize the 12 million illegals. Who do you think the new citizens will thank for years to come for that?
Just wait until the folks want to move up through the ranks at their company. Just wait until the folks want to start a business. Just wait until the folks want to question their leaders.
I’ve had this post sitting in my draft box for a while, but I decided to finish it after I saw The Wall Street Journal had a great piece for you to read on this topic. Enjoy it while you can!
