MSM downplays fraud (Updated)

Two national publications, National Journal and the Washington Post, have checked into the fraud being perpetrated by the Obama campaign through the acceptance of online donations that bypass the address verification system (AVS).  The conclusions?  It can happen to anyone, and Obama’s campaign is returning donations they found to be fraudulent.

What they don’t point out is that the AVS has to be ACTIVELY BYPASSED — it’s not just an accident.  McCain’s website has it.  Hillary’s had it.  Why is Obama bypassing it?  And Noriega?  And Murtha?  Those questions aren’t asked by either publication.  As Ace points out, the Journal didn’t even ask the campaign about it.  What’s worse is they imply that McCain can be just as susceptible to the same fraud, which has been proven false.

Even when the MSM picks up the story, it’s like they are doing it to say, “See, we investigate Obama, too.  There’s nothing there.  Move along.”  They’re afraid, because if you do ask a tough question, you get banned.  Well, at least until he is annointed President.  Then, I wonder how many stories will come out of the woodwork.

You know what they say — the bigger they are, the harder they fall.  I bet the MSM can’t WAIT to tear him down.  It reminds me of another saying, that old parental threat — I brought you into this world, I can take you out!

Update: “Fox and Friends” covered this story during the 6 AM (CST) hour 10/27.  They mentioned the AVS and asked how McCain’s site and other sites like Amazon.com have it, so why wouldn’t Obama’s.  They also said that the Obama camp’s statements noted they check for fraud AFTER the donation.
