Wanted: Alive and Uncut (Updated)

The LA Times put out a statement on “the tape.” (H/T: Hot Air)  They apparently made a “cross our hearts and hope to die” promise to the tape owner not to release it in order to even see the tape.

So, since the paper has decided to give about 75 employees an early Christmas present, Ace has offered up a bounty for the tape.  It looks like the offer is more than fair, and it might even be better if the tape is good.  I’m sure it can be done.

Suggestions have been made that someone like Soros has already paid for silence, but he would have to pay every single person at the paper in order to preempt the release.  Now, a bidding war might ensue once someone manages to swipe it out of the reporter’s desk; however, there area a lot of rich Republicans who will get screwed royally under Obama who might be able to come up with something.

Let’s hope someone at the LAT with a brain and love for America can make this happen in the next 24 hours.

Update: Looks like there might be — MIGHT BE — some quotes from the tape floating around the internet.  The tip about the quotes are apparently from someone in the know, and from the language, it looks like someone who works at the LA Times.  The quotes are from Obama himself, once again, proving that he will say anything to be liked by anyone.  He’s either playing to this crowd or playing to America.

Israel has no God-given right to occupy Palestine … [there's been] genocide against the Palestinian people by Israelis.

These are supposed — SUPPOSED — quotes from someone who reports that he has personally seen a clip from the tape.  Very damaging stuff — if it’s true.  They need to release the tape and let us all decide for ourselves. (H/T: Stop the ACLU)

Thank You!

I wanted to thank all of my readers.  I hit 5000 visits for the month today (I know it’s not a big deal for most) with just under 2900 unique, which means some of you are sticking around.

I appreciate you sharing my posts, too.  I’ve seen hits from sharing sites (such as delicious), from twitter, and from emails.

Thanks again for visiting, and I hope you continue to enjoy the site!

Europeans: GObama! EU Leaders: Hold on…

So Sarkozy thinks Obama’s position on Iran is “utterly immature,” too.  He didn’t even hint at his doubts of “The One” in public at their joint press conference during Obama World Tour ‘08.  However, Sarkozy is worried about an Obama administration.  I bet other European leaders are, too.

Much has been made of the European socialist system since Obama’s “spread the wealth” comment.  That, along with the overwhelming hate for President Bush seen there, shows me just how left Europeans lean.

However, the lefty, pacifist leanings of the European people are only allowed by the fact that big brother America is policing the world.  We’ve saved their sorry asses from dictators in the past, and they know no matter how much they call us names, we’ll be there in the future.  And the European leaders have to keep up the same rhetoric, or else they don’t get re-elected.

But in private, European leaders know that a strong America is needed.  While their people would overwhelmingly vote Obama if given the chance, leaders of the countries are hoping against hope that we don’t put a pacifist in the most powerful position in the world.  If we do, and Iran does something awful, who do you think would have to take up the slack?  Because Iran isn’t going to hit America, it’s going to hit Europe’s Mediterranean Sea neighbor — Israel.

Let’s say that, God forbids, happens.  Obama has already shown disdain for Israel, although we won’t have the tapes to prove it until Obama is elected.  You think he’s going to step right on up and defend them?  Hmmm, maybe not.  Then, Europe would be left to help defend them.  And European leaders know that will be the end of their political careers.  Better to let America get their hands dirty, and the only one willing to do that would be McCain.

Bill ‘O’ Rights

In his “closing arguments,” Obama has been laying out his “rescue plan.”  What it amounts to is a list of massive amounts of new entitlements that will probably take a generation to undo.

Obama, Pelosi, and Reid will take a hold and leave a mark on this country not unlike FDR, and not in a good way.  FDR started this country on the road to dependence and entitlement.  Social security was the beginning.  Obama will make the end almost unattainable.

I would honestly rather see this government pay investment advisors to go door to door to explain how to make money in the stock market.  They could teach them how to prepare investments for a rainy day so they could invest their own social security money and provide a great retirement for themselves.  If these people realized how the government squanders that 13% they’d be PISSED!  It would be voluntary, and I bet within 25 years we’d have probably have at least two-thirds of people off the social security rolls.

That could be the first program we could put in each person’s hands.  We have to start somewhere, and that’s the first program that is going to break.  Once we get that money out of the government hands, think of the things we could do!  Then, the government would have money to help people who actually NEED it in the times they need it.

This country is in a downward spiral now.  Anytime something goes wrong, people expect the government to come and bail them out.  After an Obama administration, people are going to go to the bathroom and expect the government to come and wipe their asses.
