Hot Air has a post about Obama’s fundraising and the myth that his coffers are filled with mostly donations from people who gave less than $200.  The post points out that Kerry AND Bush received a larger percentage of their funds in 2004 from these types of donations.  This means Obama is going to have a lot of favors to dole out, and apparently, he’s used to that. 

Some have also been questioning, with Obama’s cup running over, why he is still soliciting donations?  From the cash he has on hand, some have speculated that he will have to spend something like $5 million a day in order to use all he has on hand, so why does he need more?  One proposed reason is that he might need it for litigation of election results, although I’m not sure how the financing of the litigation works. 

I think that he needs to cover the fraud.  He will eventually be audited.  My bet is there are going to be a LOT of donations that need to be returned.  He needs some clean money to fill in the gap.
