Signs point to resignation, rats

The Chicago Sun-Timesis reporting that Gov. Blagojevich has retained counsel and is considering resignation (H/T Hot Air).  He could make his decision as early as Monday.  The reason for the delay?  Sources are quoted as saying he was “blindsided by this.”  Yeah, right.  That’s why he dared authorities to record his conversations just a day earlier.  Even if he does resign, he’s not going down without a fight.  There is every indication, from what I’ve read, that this guy would sell out his own mother rather than attempt upkeep of his fabulous ‘do in prison.

And in other news about foretelling signs, the government only needed to stand outside his back door to see that Gov. Blagojevich was a rat.  There was, literally, a sign on a pole warning of rats with a bull’s eye on it.  Go here to see the picture.  Out of image concerns, the sign was quietly removed soon after the picture appeared, despite it being a warning to beware of poisonous rat baits in the area.
