UN school in Gaza probably used as cover

Much has been made about the UN school in Gaza that was hit by Israeli forces this morning.  I suspected it was being used as cover, and apparently some witnesses have confirmed that Hamas was firing mortar rounds from close by, possibly even the school’s courtyard.  Israel wants International favor on its side, so I’m sure it would have done all it could to keep this from happening.

I don’t understand those condemning Israel for its actions against Hamas.  They have endured shelling from Gaza for years.  Think of this in terms of the US.  We are, essentially, a two-state solution — America and the Indian reservations.  After taking / buying US lands from the Indians, we eventually gave them reservations that are somewhat independent nations.  The two basically get along peacefully.  However, imagine if some Indians started lobbing shells from a reservation into a surrounding American city.  What would we do?

Americans and Indians are more than 230 years into our relationship; Israel only declared independence 60 years ago.  A two-state solution CAN work, but not when one side wants to absolutely erradicate the other.  Hamas accuses Israel of keeping out food and supplies, but Hamas still manages to smuggle in weapons.  Hamas is hurting their own people, not the Israelis.
