Remember the Black Panthers with nightsticks in Philadelphia on election day who were “guarding” a polling place?  Well, the Justice Department has decided to file a lawsuit against the group for violating — guess what — the Voting Rights act of 1965.  Kind of ironic, eh?  Michelle has the details.

As I noted in my blog entry that day, the video was a little scary.  Imagine a little old lady, no matter what ethnicity she is, trying to walk up to that place to vote with that going on?  I’m glad they aren’t going to get away with it.
